Bong Care

How to clean:

Step 1:  Dump out your old bong water & fill with about an inch or two of isopropyl alcohol (we recomend using at least 91%) & coarse salt which will act as your abrasive.

Step 2:  Cover the openings with your hands and shake vigorously. It helps to use a pipe cleaner to get the resin off your downstem.

Step 3:  Allow it to soak for 15-30 minutes, or overnight for heavy build-up.

Step 4:  Rinse thoroughly under warm water. Avoid using hot water since vintage glass can be more sensitive than borosilicate glass. (Our bowls & stems are of course made of borosilicate glass so no need to worry about heating those babies up!)

Step 5:  I like to finish off by rinsing the inside and outside with dish soap to give it that extra sparkle! If your piece has any decorative paint, I don't suggest scrubbing as this may cause some of the paint to chip off.

Care tips:

- Clean your piece regularly! This will of course depend on frequency of use but I suggest cleaning as soon as you see resin really start to build up. I like to clean mine every 1-2 days if using regularly.

-Change your water often! Changing your water often is an easy way for your piece to stay clean longer. I like to swap it after every couple of bowls. Mold spores can grow in as little as 24 hours which can make you sick!

- Watch out for temperature shock! Avoid exposing the glass to sudden temperature changes. This can be like cleaning your piece with hot water followed by cold or even leaving your bong outside in the freezing cold and then brining it inside your warm home as this may cause cracking!
